Try another plug point: Unplug the laptop for sometime and plug it in a different plug point Connection problem: If the cord is loosely attached to your laptop, there could be a problem with the connection. Unplug the cord, clean it if required and observe if the pin is bent or if there is any other problem with the pin Examine the cord: Observe the length of the cord for any dents or tears. You might just have to replace the cord if you notice anything or smell anything like a burnt plastic Remove the battery: Shut down the computer, unplug it and remove the battery. Leave the battery out for few seconds, put it back and start your laptop Start without using a battery: You can also check the laptop by starting it without putting the battery and just by connecting the charger. If the laptop doesn’t charge, you probably need a new cord. If it starts then the charging issue is probably due to the battery itself. Let the computer rest: If your laptop battery has become very hot, excess heat could be interfering with the charging. Shut down the laptop and let it cool down for few minutes. Replace the charger: At times the adapter could be faulty and you might have to get a new charger
Important Tip: Check your product warranty before replacing any parts. Replacement or repairing cost might get covered.
